Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) has developed an extensive list of resources devoted to No Child Left Behind and IDEA '04; the Web site also contains links to 17 different interest divisions of CEC that target specific needs (e.g., early childhood, technology). http://www.cec.sped.org/
Elementary and Middle Schools Technical Assistance Center (EMSTAC) was a national center that worked with local school districts to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The site continues to maintain numerous resources. http://www.emstac.org
ERIC Clearinghouse contains a searchable database of articles and materials, and offers ERIC digests on various topics. www.eric.ed.gov
Family Center on Technology and Disability (FCTC) provides information and services about assistive technology (AT) to organizations and programs that work with families of children and youth with disabilities. www.fctd.info/
Learning Disabilities Association of America is a nonprofit grassroots organization whose members are individuals with learning disabilities, their families, and the professionals who work with them. http://www.ldanatl.org/
National Center on Educational Outcomes (NCEO) was established to create systems that measure the educational results of all students. NCEO offers resources in topic areas such as accommodations, accountability, standards, and Universal Design. http://education.umn.edu/NCEO/
National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) is the national information center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues. www.nichcy.org
National Organization on Disability (NOD) has the following mission: to expand the participation and contribution of America’s 54 million men, women, and children with disabilities by raising awareness through programs and information. http://www.nod.org/
National Research Center on Learning Disabilities (NRCLD) engages in research, develops recommendations, and provides training to help administrators, teachers, parents, and policy makers address the complex issues surrounding the proper identification of students with learning disabilities who need special education services. www.nrcld.org
The National Resource Center for Paraprofessionals (NRCP) provides technical assistance and shares information that will enable administrators and staff-developers to improve the recruitment, deployment, supervision, and career development of paraprofessionals. http://www.nrcpara.org
