*** Access Center Introduction ***
Good afternoon! My name is Stephanie Pavlis and I pleased to welcome you to the Webinar on behalf of the Access Center . Our Center, which focuses on access to the general education curriculum, is funded by the Office of Special Education Programs. We are happy you could join us today. We are extremely fortunate to have Dr. David Allsopp presenting on mathematics.
Dr. Allsopp is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of South Florida . He received his B.A. in Psychology from Furman University and his M.Ed. & Ph. D. from the University of Florida . Â At the University of South Florida , Dr. Allsopp teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses and serves as the Undergraduate Coordinator. Dr. Allsopp's writing and research interests focus on instructional methods for students with learning and behavioral problems. In particular, his interests involve effective mathematics instruction for students with learning problems, effective social skills instruction for students with learning and behavioral problems, and effective academic interventions for postsecondary students with learning disabilities & ADHD. At this point, it is my pleasure to turn things over to Dr. Allsopp.
