Doreen Ferko

Dr. Doreen J. K. Ferko is an Assistant Professor of Special Education. She has 13 years of first hand experience teaching students with special needs, particularly picture of Doreen Ferkoadolescents with severe behavioral challenges as well as students in higher education. She has taught a variety of courses in Special Education as well as Science and Math Methods for General Education Teachers. Dr. Ferko is an active member of the International Council for Exceptional Children and the Association for Behavior Analysis. Her primary area of expertise is in the area of behavior challenges (i.e., aggression and violence) as well as juvenile delinquency and individuals who are at-risk (particularly adolescents). She also holds expertise in applied behavior analysis and single subject research design. Lastly, Dr. Ferko serves as the Graduate Advisor for the Department of Special Education.
