Publication Review Process

Cute children taking a test.

The first level of the review is conducted by Access Center staff, who review the content of all publications submitted to ensure the materials relate to accessing the general education curriculum for students with disabilities.

The second level of the review process is conducted by independent reviewers who are knowledgeable in the field of special education.   Each publication is evaluated by two reviewers; each rates the publication’s content, usefulness to state and district personnel, and quality. Only publications which receive high ratings by reviewers are posted to the Access in Action Web site.
