Our Team
Katherine Goulian joined AIR in May
2003 as a Research Assistant. Her work on the Access Center involves
the research and collection of library materials and the development
and maintenance of the library. Katherine also provides support for
all the Technical Assistance Liaisons.
Katherine is also staffed on the Knight Foundation Community Indicators
Project, a research initiative funded by the Knight Foundation to track
the overall quality of life in twenty-six communities across the United
States. Katherine researches various educational indicators for these
communities, including School Environment Context, Student Achievement,
and Community Literacy.
Prior to employment with AIR, Katherine worked as an intern at the Institute
for Higher Education Policy in Washington, D.C. She researched and wrote
a paper commemorating the Institute’s Tenth Anniversary and helped coordinate
and attend various conferences for the Institute. She also tracked weekly
higher education legislation updates for the Institute’s staff and partners.
Katherine graduated from Cornell University in 2002 with a B.A. in History
and a concentration in American Government.
